Art and Fashion looks at the powerful links between the two disciplines over the last hundred years.

At the beginning of the 20th century, artists like Jean Arp and Theo van Doesburg used costumes to show their opposition to conformity. Since then, Russian constructivist artists have produced both fabrics and prints; avant-garde artists have tried to free clothing from the domination of Parisian couture; the Surrealists teamed up with Elsa Schiaparelli to make fashions which would shock the bourgeoisie; and Andy Warhol silk-screened his world-famous images onto paper dresses.
