Art
Thames & Hudson soon became the main source of information for artists whose work I was interested in, such as the École de Paris, in terms of essays as well as pictures. They also opened up the world of American art. I've admired, from a distance, the way they've advanced into dark areas of design, ethnography, photography and fashion, but what mattered most to me were their generous, comprehensive and almost always amazingly accurate reproductions of works of art - including my own paintings – Howard Hodgkin
