Dr Huw Lewis-Jones is a historian of exploration, with a PhD from the University of Cambridge.
He travels in the Arctic and Antarctica each year working as a polar guide.
Formerly Curator at the Scott Polar Research Institute, Cambridge, and the National Maritime Museum, London, he is now an award-winning author, who writes and lectures widely about adventure and the visual arts.
He has co-authored The Crossing of Antarctica and The Conquest of Everest with George Lowe, both published by Thames & Hudson.
