We have a rare opportunity for an experienced and well-organized Project Editor to work for us. You will join a dynamic department, working on several projects with distinguished academic authors, and often in the vanguard of innovative digital educational media. This is a chance to gain additional specialist editorial skills with great potential application to many areas of the industry for the future.
Based in our central London office, the Project Editor will form a vital part of the editorial team at T&H Ltd and will also liaise closely with colleagues in the T&H Inc. College editorial team, who are based in New York.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Editor, College, this is a key editorial role in the College team, including:
- Project-managing several large and complex illustrated books simultaneously through every stage of the book-making process, and working on a wide variety of digital media, including illustrated e-pubs, student quiz programs, videos, animations, image banks and other instructor and student resources
- Copy-editing to a sustainedly very high standard
- Assessing and checking illustrated layouts in InDesign
- Assessing images for quality
- Preparing cover-design briefs and checking cover designs and backboard copy
- Proofreading with meticulous attention to detail
- Briefing indexers and copy-editing indexes
- Briefing and supervising freelance book and e-media editors
- Preparing final text files for print and e-pubs
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, as a team player
- Working directly with authors, illustrators, institutional contacts and freelancers
- Preparing book-fair materials
Knowledge, skills and experience
- Substantial editorial experience, including project management and hands-on editing of highly illustrated non-fiction books
- Ability to work and multi-task largely on own initiative and to take full responsibility for timely delivery of several top-quality, complex projects being produced simultaneously
- Superb organizational and time-management ability
- A thorough knowledge of the book-making process from manuscript through to printed product
- Good proficiency working in Microsoft packages, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook, and experience of working in Adobe InDesign and Acrobat Pro; the ideal candidate will also be familiar with preparing e-books and addressing accessibility considerations
- Ability to problem-solve quickly and efficiently
- Experience of and a genuine commitment to higher education in the arts and humanities
- A good degree, preferably in art history, archaeology, history, Classics or English Literature
- Impeccable copy-editing and proofreading skills, with an
excellent command of English and American spelling and grammar - Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Significant visual awareness and the ability to assess layouts accurately
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence and sensitivity in liaising directly and collaborating with third parties, including academic authors and editorial freelancers
- A sensitive and proactive approach towards diversity and inclusivity
- A willingness to deal with new challenges and acquire fresh

We are seeking a motivated individual to manage our bibliographic metadata across internal systems and external-facing platforms; checking data accuracy and completeness at key points in a title’s lifecycle, handling corrections as required and communicating critical data changes to key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee title setup, ISBN allocation, data accuracy, and lifecycle updates.
- Ensure accurate metadata distribution via ONIX with the Distributed Publisher Data Executive.
- Manage customer group/account data for sales reporting.
- Maintain rights, permissions, and closed market data per team instructions.
- Uphold data entry standards, processes, and provide staff training.
- Manage initial and ongoing ONIX metadata releases, including CoreSource and website updates.
- Coordinate weekly dues releases and support quarterly title launches.
- Issue seasonal lists/schedules, review catalogues, and generate barcodes.
- Manage Edelweiss assets and assist in creating catalogues and sales tools.
- Serve as first contact for data issues; escalate bugs to IT.
- Support bibliographic system development and testing activities.
Knowledge, skills and experience
- Experience working at a publisher or with bibliographic data
- Proficient in Microsoft Office & Excel, including the use of vlookups and pivot tables
- Confident in manipulating large volumes of data accurately
- Experience of bibliographic databases a plus

World-renowned illustrated publisher Thames & Hudson is seeking a dynamic Senior Key Account Executive to join our UK Sales team. This role is pivotal in managing sales relationships across key online and retail partners, with a strong focus on Amazon (around 75% of the workload). Reporting to the Head of Key Accounts, you will take the lead in the day-to-day management of our Amazon business while supporting wider account strategy and growth across Harrods, Selfridges, CounterPrint and others.

who is equally comfortable managing data, optimising product visibility, and
building relationships that deliver long-term growth.
The Role
- Lead day-to-day management of our Amazon business, ensuring product data, pricing and availability are accurate and optimised.
- Execute Amazon Marketing Services (AMS) and Vendor Services (AVS) campaigns to maximise visibility and sales performance.
- Analyse sales data, conversion rates and campaign results, translating insights into clear actions and reporting to stakeholders.
- Develop and deliver a data-led sales growth strategy with the Head of Key Accounts.
- Manage additional retail accounts including Harrods, Selfridges and CounterPrint, conducting regular
sales analysis to inform forecasting and promotional planning. - Monitor marketplace activity
and maintain direct supply where possible, spotting emerging opportunities. - Work collaboratively with internal teams and client publishers to ensure titles are promoted effectively and consistently.
Knowledge, skills and experience
- Proven experience in account management, ideally within retail, e-commerce, or publishing.
- Strong analytical skills, with confidence using Excel (or equivalent) for sales tracking and performance analysis.
- Experience managing relationships with major accounts and delivering against sales targets.
- Understanding of e-commerce platforms, with particular exposure to Amazon Vendor or Seller Central.
- Ability to interpret sales data, identify trends, and turn insights into actionable strategies.
- Familiarity with online merchandising, metadata management and digital content optimisation.
- Experience running advertising and promotional campaigns within Amazon’s platform.
- Knowledge of publishing or media products desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
