When you purchase goods from our website the personal information you give us such as your name, delivery address, billing address, email address, telephone number, credit or debit card number and authorization numbermay be collected in order to process and fulfil your order and, if necessary, to process a return. Please allow up to 10 business days for the refunded amount to appear in your account.
If you have a discount code, this can be entered when prompted during online checkout. Please check the expiry date as well as well as any Terms & Conditions issued alongside the code. For example, codes typically can only be used once, or not in conjunction with other discounts or offer. Orders
Orders can be tracked via your order dispatch email. If you have not received this, please get in touch with us please email us at contactus@thameshudson.co.uk providing your name and order number.
If the goods you have ordered are damaged, defective or not what you ordered we can refund or replace them. Please email us at contact-us@thameshudson.co.uk within 14 calendar days of receipt, providing as much detail as possible. We will endeavour to process your query within 1-3 calendar days and contact you via email about its status. We will supply you with replacement goods or provide you with a refund within 14 calendar days.
If you change your mind about your order, you may return them to us, at your cost and risk, within 14 calendar days of receipt. Please email us at contact-us@thameshudson.co.uk as much detail as possible including proof of postage. Provided that goods that are sold shrinkwrapped are returned with the shrinkwrap intact or non-shrinkwrapped goods are returned in re-saleable condition, we will refund their cost, but not the delivery charges, within 14 calendar days of return. Shipping & Delivery
We can deliver to any address in the United Kingdom excluding the Channel Islands. We also ship internationally, excluding the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Iran, Sudan, North Korea, Russia, and Cuba. This list may change occasionally dependent on global conflicts and issues with getting deliveries into certain countries. Please see our Shipping & Delivery policy for more information.
We offer standard shipping in all our markets. Shipping is free in the UK, EU and rest-of-world on orders above £40 / £50 and £120. Please see our Shipping & Delivery policy for more information.
Standard delivery is 2-4 business days from dispatch for the UK, 6-10 business days for the EU, and 10-30 business days for the rest-of-world. Please see our Shipping & Delivery policy for more information.
Our delivery charges are as follows:
UK:
- For orders of up to the value of £39.99: P&P charge is £4.
- For orders of £40 and above: P&P is free
Europe:
- For orders of up to the value of £49.99: P&P charge is £12.
- For orders of £50 and above: P&P is free
Rest of the World:
- For orders up to a value of £119.99: P&P charge is £35
- For orders of £120 and above: P&P is free

Thames & Hudson publish books in English and French, but all books on our website are in English.
You can find all Thames & Hudson books on our website, but you can also buy them across a variety of mainstream and independent bookshops, museums, galleries, and shops across the world.
If an item you are interested in is not available, but is coming back in stock, you can request an "Email Me When" notification. Once the item is available, you will receive an email. Make sure you're also signed up for our newsletter for the latest news on our books and products!
We do special, limited and signed editions for a number of our books. These can be found on our Signed and Collectors Editions page.
We are committed to ensuring that all steps in the book production and delivery process are as sustainable as possible. We are committed to working only with print suppliers who can demonstrate a commitment to the preserving the environment. We require ISO 14001 accreditation as a minimum. ISO 14001 is an internationally accredited standard that sets out effective Environmental Management Systems recognising a commitment to effective management of waste, careful use of energy and ensuring recycling processes are in line with governments standards. ISO 50001 accreditation is desirable. ISO 50001 is aimed at organisations committed to addressing their impact, conserving resources and improving the bottom line through efficient energy management. Our editorial team are encouraged to work to a set of economical page size formats, designed to fit standard printing press sizes in an effort to reduce paper wastage on both first and subsequent printings. Although it is not suitable for the majority of our book output, we fully embrace digital printing and publishing where appropriate. For more information, please see our sustainability statement.
Preorders
Payment for preorders will be taken when you make the purchase. If you change your mind about your preorder and wish to cancel it, please get in touch with us at contact@thameshudson.co.uk and we will refund you the amount (Given it has not yet been dispatched).
Preorder products will be shipped on, or 3 days before their publication date (specified on their relevant product page). You will receive a confirmation email when you place your preorder and again when the product is shipped. If you placed an order containing preorder and regular items, you may receive your order in separate shipments.
Gift Cards
Gift cards can only be purchased on our online store.
No, our gift cards are digital only and will be delivered to you by email. If you need help locating your gift card, please get in touch with us at contact@thameshudson.co.uk, confirming the email address that was used to order the gift card – and if available, including the approximate date of purchase and gift card amount.
Your Thames & Hudson Gift Card can be used on any product on our website for all or part of your order, including shipping costs. For more information, please see point 7 in our Terms of Service.
Gift Cards expire after 5 years. The balance of the card cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash, except as required by law. For more information, please see point 7 in our Terms of Service.

- Not all books are available as inspection copies.
- In order to retain your book free of charge, you must complete a digital feedback form which will be emailed to you. Your feedback is very important to us.
- We will not be able to process further inspection copy requests from you until we have received your feedback.
