Lesley Miller has been Senior Curator of Textiles and Fashion (before 1800) at the V&A since 2005 and Professor of Dress and Textile History at the University of Glasgow since 2013. She was the Lead Curator for the refurbishment and reinterpretation of the Europe 1600-1815 Galleries at the museum (2010-15) and for the project team of curators who selected and wrote about objects for Silk (2018-20). She is an authority on the silk industry of eighteenth-century Lyon, and has also published on seventeenth and eighteenth-century Spanish textiles and dress, and mid-twentieth century French haute couture.
