About the Authors

Cian Oba-Smith is a practising photographer, and also guest lectures regularly at universities and art institutions around the United Kingdom. His work has appeared in many publications, including the Financial Times Weekend Magazine, the Guardian, the British Journal of Photography, TIME magazine, The Fader, Le Monde, Port Magazine, Dazed & Confused and The New Yorker, among others. Max Ferguson is a photographer, writer, photo editor and educator. He has worked at Port Magazine and the Financial Times Weekend Magazine, and now works at Granta.
